there was a time back when L’Emulsion wasn’t my favorite restaurant. at this time there was much too much espuma foam for my lust, although this was somehow apparent from the name. all that changed last night when...we had a wonderful four cursor meal at €56 per person accompanied by an excellent condrieu that I noticed had hardly a double mark on the standard retail price. the novelty of eating is surprising there, for example in the derée, the juxtaposition between foie gras, green cot and cardamom sauce; the calves and accompaniment worked magnificently together and everything was cooked to one t; the deliciously concentrated aromas of chocolate and coffee in the desert or in the case of...
nous avons voulu changer de place alors que le restaurant était vide, la dame nous a demandé pourquoi de manière très agressive quand nous lui avons dit que nous voulions nous asseoir à la fenêtre, elle nous a demandé si elle devait voir la route ! les couverts. était sale et nous avons eu le premier plat avec un poil, le deuxième était une truite très puante, les plats étaient servis par différents chefs qui avaient les ongles noirs et le dernier chef qui nous a chuchoté avait plusieurs verrues sur les doigts et la main !
I ate here as part of a group of over 20. We had two tables that were actually in separate parts of the restaurant just about in sight of each other. I have always been somewhat conservative in my tastes, but I was very...pleasantly surprised by the combinations of flavours and textures in the meal that we were served. We had a standard meal for the whole group so I did not actually see the regular menu. We were also served very good white and red wines with our meal.
Je pensais que nous allions dans un restaurant 1 étoile Michelin. la nourriture est restée jusqu'à la norme, mais le service a gâché notre expérience. le serveur semblait inexpérimenté, habillé comme s'il était sur la plage avec ses amis. c'est dommage, c'était un après-midi adoré, nous avons roulé loin, mais le service nous a laissés insatisfaits et a complètement fait oublier l'expérience culinaire.
