L'Encas - Réserver une table

We were undecided where to have lunch and the place we were considering wasn't open until 12:15. We were on a schedule so we decided to eat at L'Encas ("The Snack"), a small place right on the Place de Chateau. They serve more than snacks and we had the 2-course "Formule"...I had the asperagus ravioli (delicious!) and my wife had a salad (a lot of food). The second course was joues de lotte (monkfish cheeks) that was OK, a little tough, accompanied by risotto and veggies.

We ate from their set menu, which included a very good salad and an excellent pizza. This was followed by a surprisingly good, freshly made chocolate dessert, which was like a chocolate brownie.We were Impressed by the good service and excellent value. The 50cl carafe of rose wine was good quality and just 9 Euros.

The service is quick and friendly- lovely atmosphere with a good menu variety, generous servings and good value for money. The salads are mountains and delicious pizzas - I've been a few times and will be back again!

We recently visited Gordes and enjoyed a wonderful cheese salad and a mixed meat salad. They were delicious, fresh and enough to fill us up 'til dinnertime. It was great sitting outside on a sunny spring day.

Great variety of pizzas ! Salads from about 11€ beer on tap was great Enjoy seats inside to see the cliffs or outside in the patio.
