We were told that we didn't need to reserve but that they only served in two evening sittings. Luckily we arrived early as the restaurant soon became full. Orders were taken quickly and wine served promptly but no offer to taste or pour the bottle. Food came out extremely quick, but for medium steaks, maybe too quick, most coming out blue. One steak sent back but instead of being put back on the fire to cook a little further, the whole plate was put under a grill - result? Charred top half of steak now almost well done, separated sauce, and an extremely hot plate. Also noticed that the portion of fries for us four was the same as that given for two people.Difficult to catch any of the servers, as they were massively understaffed for a full restaurant, although they were trying their best, and one of the servers was also kind enough to heat up our baby's bottle. Desserts, were not anything special, and it took a long time to pay our bill.To have just one more server working probably would have made a world of difference. Shame, as it probably would have been quite nice if they wasn't rushed off their feet.On a positive note, the interior is quite charming and has a warming feel.
