Off the highway, onto a one lane roadturn, on a one lane dirt road and drive to the end. This is not an easy location, but it is worth the effort if you happen to be in Latresne and need dinner. The service is fine, the wine selection is minimal but satisfactory and the food is very good. The galettes are very large and the entrees are just as large making the prix fix menu a real challenge to finish. The price is absolutely minimal for this quality and quantity and I presume that is exactly what the locals expect.
We were staying near by and wanted a decent meal without having to travel too far. We were surprised at the quality of food given that it was at the end of a deadend street that we would not generally travel down to find a restaurant. We had a good-tasting gallete with egg, mushrooms, emmenthaler cheese and sausage, with a pretty good bottle of 2009 Chateau Tour Peyronneaux Saint Emillion Grand Cru Classe. While I wouldn't go out of my way to get there, it was well worth the money.
Actually this place is a little tricky to find...even with GPS.But when you are there the welcome is warm and the place is spacious and nicely decorated.The menu is a wide range of local dishes, Galettes and Crepes.The size of the portions is enormous and the prices are very moderate.The whole menu (starter-main-dessert) was something like 22€ and I could hardly finish all the foo because of the portions.A pity because the quality is very good!I would definitely come back.
Went here our first night, arrived t early then came back, staff still was not very ready for us. However, once they got going service was friendly and good. Food was very nice, my wife's steak was cooked perfect and my crepe was delish! The prefitorols (can't spell) were the highlight, ice cream was so good as well as the chocolate sauce, ymmm. Close to where we are staying it was a good pick.
