Enthusiastic friends had recommended this restaurant for the quality of its cuisine. We went for lunch without a reservation and we were bitterly disappointed. The setting is very dark and gloomy. It's very rudimentary. Certainly not a place to celebrate anything memorable. The reception is awful, unsmiling and arrogant with two waitresses barely able to provide details on the dishes and track your order. On top of that, expect to ask for your jug of water until you reach the dessert! We started with the fresh goat cheese toasts with ham. The cheese tasted like water (not even what it was mixed with). Same for the ham that had taken a serious heat stroke. For the main course, beef skewer, as for the pork side, have nothing more than what you can do at home. However, the fried potatoes that came with the menu were delicious.Nothing to report on the cheese plate: three small suitable pieces. Nothing fancy. For dessert, the apricot tiramisu - more like a mousse with apricot than a tiramisu - is refreshingly original. The 'Success' (vanilla ice cream between two biscuits topped with whipped cream covered with chocolate sauce) seriously lacks refinement but will impress any greedy kid for sure.We found a good selection of wine. The service went from bad to worse, the waitresses were barely polite with all the clients. We were speeding things up while eating to get out faster. The addition was soft between 20 and 25 euros per person. Note that the main waitress did not hesitate to publicly humiliate and shout at the younger waitress when we paid as there was a mistake regarding the wine price - final nail in the coffin! In the end, we were very disappointed with the food quality and the general context. Overrated. To be avoided.

We saw this little restaurant was very busy at lunch time as we wandered the charming streets of Rodez, so we went for dinner without booking and got the last table. We ordered Entrees and Main courses and it was just too much, due to the very generous servings. The food was very good and what makes it different from most French restaurants was the amount of vegetables served with the meals - a crunchy salad accompanied our Entrees and a huge variety of vegetables came with the mains. Service was very efficient, despite the fact the woman server who spoke English was on her own.A well priced dining option in Rodez.

We loved this place for Lunch. The room is charming as was the waitress. Nice table settings and ambience. The food on the 13 Euros menu is excellent value, fresh, elegantly presented and flavoursome. The wine list is reasonable and some can be purchased by the glass. The fact that people were being turned away on a week day lunch is testimony to the popularity of this small restaurant and so booking is advisable. We will certainly eat here again when next visiting Rodez
