I ate at the Bonnets Rouges twice at the end of July and the beginning of August. Each time the service was exemplary. If you do need an english translation of the menu they do have one copy - so ask. Food is primarily the largest choice of pizzas that I have ever seen, but they also do excellent steaks and have a smaller range of different dishes, such as the palestinian rice dish. The café gourmand can equally be a thé gourmand here and they will bring you out a range of speciality teabags that you can choose from - although working out what each is can be a bit difficult as they are presented, unlabelled in a wooden box. The loos are a must - even if you don't really need them. A surprise awaits there! On my second visit, with some friends from the UK, they were running very late in getting to Carhaix - to the tune of nearly two hours. I sent a message to the restaurant via facebook and they were superb. The response came back within half an hour, "Sans soucis." "no worries." I would advise booking as this restaurant seems to be becoming very popular. I would also suggest parking on the High Street and then walking past the Mairie (keep the Mairie on your right) about 50 metres further on there is a road to your right and you will find the Bonnets Rouges there. You could always take a chance and drive that way and hope that there is a parking space there, but it is unlikely. In any case it is only a matter of a two minute walk!

If you have any doubts about how good Breton hospitality can be, try the Bonnets Rouges. The Chef, Matthieu, chats and laughs with his customers while cooking behind the open counter. A fabulous, fun, atmosphere. Among others, the menu included typical Breton ingredients, prepared in original recipes, as well as pizzas. There were at least two vegetarian dishes (stuffed potatoes and veggie pizza). The wine was excellent. And, as other reviewers have already pointed out, you must try the toilets. like the rest, it's an experience you won't forget!

Hidden in a small alley, this restaurant offers a lot of surprises!!!Home more than friendly, so rich dishes from which the absence of admissions. The pork stock. a talk about pork stock, count 1kg to 1 kg 200 and this for a guest! and I don't talk to you about the unsightly price... that fresh products very well cooked. do not forget to slip a small piece into the walls slits (you will understand once on site) we returned a second time eating with always as much pleasure.

We are just leaving this establishment, happy to have spent an excellent time there. a warm welcome. We felt it right away. a good rich and hearty cuisine as we love it. Anyway, everything you need to spend a good night. I recommend the hemless pavement, the beef tartar, and the rusty gratin. there is also a very very very very very very very good cheverny white wine. ... go and judge yourself
