First visit to this restaurant and we were very pleasantly surprised. Just ordered main and dessert. Steak was very good (we have often been disappointed with steak in France). It's cooked as we requested, the vegetables were fresh the mushroom sauce was delicious and lots of it served in a separate pot to add as much or as little as you like. The chips were hand cut and also very tasty. For dessert we had mixed berry pain pardu it was lovely, full of fruit, good sauce, light and fluffy served with homemade lemon ice cream perfect for hot balmy evening. Lots of locals so quite busy, we were served by a lovely lady who helped us understand what the pain pardu in English which was very helpful...

We opted for this restaurant as we had eaten here before and not been disappointed. There were two set menus, we chose the 15.50€ which included a glass of wine and coffee. There is only a buffet for starters but it was full of fresh salads and some very tasty hams. There was a good choice of main courses, I opted for the daube de beuf whilst my wife chose lamb's liver. My beef was rich and full of flavour, served with some tasty new potatoes. My wife reported that her liver was perfectly cooked, certainly not too well done.Portions are very generous, the wine (a good sized glass each) enjoyable and all in all, very good value for money.

We picked this restaurant for a quick lunch stop as it had a sunny little courtyard just off the pavement. Luckily for us it also had a lovely fresh entree buffet (not a vast amount of choices, but everything was delicious) and the main courses were honest, unpretentious home cooking. The specials that day were sausage stew and a chicken curry (slightly Moroccan flavours) with potatoes. Both were delicious. The toddler had ham and hand-cut chips - they were good too! Would have loved to stay for coffee and wine but we had to get back on the road. The staff were very good, friendly and prompt.

Nice to see the vegetables delivered on the doorstep of the restaurant and later recognise them on your plate. So clearly freshly home cooked food. Nice steak and we appreciated that the menu mentioned in what fat the chips are fried, for an informed choice. Veal was also tasty.
