Les Écluses - Réservation de table

Midday in Salleles-|D'Aude and we wanted to eat. Found this tiny restaurant on the main street and took a chance; so glad we did. There were only 6 or 7 tables in an interestingly decorated and comfortable room and a warm welcome by the waitress.The Foix gras salad was outstanding; so few chefs can cook it correctly but this one did. Our main courses were equally good and I was very surprised with the vegetables which were beautifully cooked. We ordered the local white wine and were extremely surprised by the flavour and quality, another big plus!! My wife had a Nougat glace dessert and I had the cheeses which were fully explained to me before eating. I could say much more about the meal but...

Couldn't find anywhere open in Cuxac so opted to drive to a nearby pizza place which we didn't like the look of so just happened upon this restaurant which is full of character with such a friendly owner who spent the time explaining the menu given our very limited vocabulary. The food was out of this world... we both had different choices from the set menu and both loved every course. For me, the beef terrine, cod and chocolate grenache with vanilla crème were simply devine. Compliments to the chef. I'm not sure if we'll ever be in this area again but I'd certainly recommend Les Ecluses to anyone. If we did come back we'd certainly pay a visit.

Découvert par hasard. Ne pas s'arrêter à l'aspect extérieur. Salle confortable avec espace entre les tables.Une table de qualité, de vraies tables avec nappes et serviettes en tissus. Une cuisine fine, raffinée sans excès ni tape à l'oeil. Un service sympathique. De l'entrée au dessert tout est un régal comme le vin et pour un rapport qualité prix remarquable. Une oasis de qualité dans une région de bricolage culinaire et de piège à touristes. A essayer sans tarder, vaut largement le détour.

Repas élaboré avec certainement le reste des plats du week-end. Boulettes d agneau la viande hachée de ces boulettes provenaient d un gigot certainement pleins de morceaux de gras cartilage, servi avec une sauce assez épicée même le café n était pas bon accompagné de riz blanc . Réservez une table maintenant

A well decorated beautiful restaurant in a calm village. The owners are well traveled couple who understands perfectly foreigners and different cultures. The food was just delicious and there were no false to mention. Highly recommend.

Cuisine de Qualité avec les meilleurs produits régionaux.Tout est préparé à la demande.Le prix du menu (entrée plat désert) est très correct et au final moins cher qu'une pizzeria Lambba pour des ingrédients de grandes qualités.

Service slightly unnerving ...not sure whether our order had been taken! Lots of interesting hangings on the walls from Far East . Food quite nice ...will probably go back but not yet

Beautiful food, not expensive for the quality, quirky service! Don't visit this restaurant if you are in a hurry, but everything was so worth waiting for!
