Here un Normandy for our 30th wedding anniversary we decided to go to this wonderful restaurant very close to the beach in one of the most charming villages in Normandy. The very attentive staff meet you at the door and take yoir coats and the rest of the services are as attentive and wonderful. Little details like asking you if you want bread with sesame or not and being attentive if there's no bread left on the plate. We had a fixed menu for €39. For starters we had raviolis with crab and foie gras. The main plates were a fillet of haddock and my wife had scallops with fresh radish on top. The cheese plate was amazing with fresh cheeses from around the region. For dessert there was a chocolate cake with a creamy center as well as a pineapple that was transformed into kind of ravioli.I almost gave it the highest rating the plates are imaginative service as I said wonderful but it's not exciting. Just one of those things that you feel. But I would highly recommend this restaurant to anybody that is coming this way near Dieppe in Normandy.

The restaurant (apparently the only one open in V-l-R on a Monday evening in April) clearly sets out to impress with its Paris-style layout offering well-separated tables in a large dining room. The theme extends also to the service which only just stops short of obsequious. So far, so uninspiring! However, when the food arrived it proved to be good, as the Michelin Guide mentions. Interesting dishes served with visual style. I don't think I would recommend the 'ray's wing' dish to anyone though as it was distinctly chewy and only saved by the accompaniments.Biggest disappointment of the evening was the wine - an Alsace Pinot Noir - which was at best unobjectionable. I have bought better wines for around a tenth of the cost here in the UK.Overall, I'd guess this restaurant would tick the boxes for Parisians coming down to their sea-side weekend homes. Definitely not good value for money.

This was the best discovery of our visit in 2016 The food was a delight and all of the extra little touches that justify a high rating. The service was faultless and seemingly unaccustomed to English visitors a real effort was made to describe the dishes with confidence building with each course. Lose any pretentions od your own importance before entering and enjoy the food in a quality setting off quality china using spotless silver cutlery. A place denied the most attractive external 'wow' factor but mind-blowingly so inside. 11 out of 10 Well done
