Les Gavouats is located at the Front des Neige, at the base of the pistes just above Isola 2000. It is a relatively small restaurant with an outdoors sitting area, but with great views looking up to the head of the valley with the chapel...in the foreground. We dropped by for lunch, and elected to remain outside, although taking advantage of a parasol to protect us from the intense august sun. We were quickly seated and did not have to wait too long for our order to be taken. The menu has an extensive pizza selection from which our daughter chose a delicious chorizo, while my wife and I were pleased with out tartiflette. Portions were well sized, indeed the pizza was too much for our daughte...
Nous étions un groupe de 11 personnes, donc beaucoup de monde à gérer, mais nous avions réservé à l'avance et on nous avait dit que ce ne serait pas un problème. Le service lent et impoli a commencé avec les boissons et a continué pendant le repas. La nourriture était bonne (quand elle est enfin arrivée), mais nous n'avons pas attendu le dessert car malgré nos tentatives pendant 15 minutes, le serveur nous a tout simplement ignorés. Cela a été une fin décevante de nos vacances. Nous n'avons laissé aucun pourboire !
Les Gavouates has a beautiful outside venue, and good service. I ate two times at the restaurant, and both times was awesome. Food is great, good prices, good service. Very pleasant experience. The staff is happy and fast. Pizzas and Calzones are awesome! i recommend...this as a lunch!
