Following all the comments on trip advisor, we were expecting very good restaurant. Well, at the end nothing terrific. We ate the local dish Truffade with Ham, sausages... So Truffade good but very fattry, all the charcuterie were from the supermarket, for sure nothing local...(which is very sad in that beautiful region recognised for the food from Porc ! . One of us took a fish, supposively without Bones, well some bones ... and without being cautious could have led to bad surprises. Nothing special about the wine, and the desert were not good. At the end, one has to say ALSO that it was pretty cheap, which might explain the food quality level. Fair enough, but we were really expecting bett...
Notre groupe de cinq a passé un excellent moment dans ce vieux restaurant local ! De nos premiers verres au dessert, tout était délicieux, surtout la truffade ! Ce n'est pas un endroit très fréquenté par les touristes, donc ils peuvent profiter d'une expérience incroyable dans un authentique restaurant auvergnat. Trois personnes de notre groupe viennent ici depuis des années. Pour moi, c'était une bouchée très spéciale et savoureuse !
Après avoir fait le tour du dôme, nous nous sommes arrêtés ici à 9h45 du matin. Ils pensaient être fermés, mais nous ont offert une table. Nous avons dîné à minuit, 2 heures après la remise des diplômes. Nous nous sommes assis dehors par une belle nuit d'été et avons été très bien accueillis. La nourriture et le vin étaient très bons, je recommande.
Located at the bottom of the restaurant the view from the terrace is nice. Service and food are inconsistent and very slow. The chicken nuggets are probably one if the best ever tried. Duck salad and magret are excellent. Fishes don't need to be tried...as well a the greasy vegetable salad. Dessert are very good.
After hiking the Dome we stopped here at 9:45pm, thought they were closed, but graciously offered us a table. We finished dinner at midnight, 2 hours after closing. We sat outside on a great summer night and was very well treated. The food and wine was very good, I recommend.
