not discussing the quality of the oysters or the crevettes, they are really good, but this is not the point. It is fact that they have to stand a hour-long waiting queue to get their food on a self-service grater with paper dishes and wood. cutlery while at the same time they have to sit a table in the es pane if they do not want to eat on the grass or on a rock. only one way to get a place is to be at least in two, you have to sit and fight to keep the table while the other has to stand the infinite exhausting waiting snake, and there is a waiting snake, even if they just go at the opening (6:30PM). an extremely unpleasant experience at the end. not quite cheap and with a super market bread...

we have straightened under the salt flags of les Portes-en-Re to find this device in the salt-flaggs and oyster-harves. while on the first look an unattractive building may appear when they order the oysters, their taste will experience joy. the oysters are freshly harvested and very good, as the garnels. a nice trip to a food with even better oysters!

Chez Franck is the epitome of declasse when it comes to restaurants. In fact, it's little more than a hut next to the oyster beds. Other than oysters, there's not much else. It's self-service, there are just a few big common tables and there are...no bathrooms. The oysters could not be fresher and the sunsets from this spot are worth the visit.

we visited here with our teenage children. beautiful location with beautiful view. split the oysters with a glass of wine. the cycle is also beautiful through the golf course.
