"Stayed at the hotel , on our last night decided to have dinner at hotels restaurant upon recommendation of a chef from a restaurant we had diner the previous evening. It was well worth it, although on a pricey side we enjoyed the diner very much while watching an amazing sun set."

This is the fine dining restaurant in Bandol. Beautifully appointed with great views over Renecros bay.The staff were welcoming and very professional. The Menu Decouverte is good value at €56 comprising 2 'canapés ' , mise en bouche , entree, fish course , main, pre dessert and dessert.All these were excellent although if you were not a pescatarian you would have been disappointed with tuna followed by maigre. The highlights were the artichoke starter and the maigre.A slight quibble when my wife asked to substitute cheese for the dessert and was only informed just before receiving it that there would be a €10 supplement charge. Les Oliviers est le restaurant gastronomique de l'Ile Rousse, l'excellent hôtel 5* de Bandol. Depuis le restaurant et la terrasse, vous avez une vue imprenable sur la jolie baie de Renecros. Le service est bien sûr très professionnel et attentionné, et les serveurs étaient beaucoup plus sympathiques que par le passé. Nous sommes venus dîner cette fois-ci et avons beaucoup aimé la nourriture et le vin. En entrée nous avons eu un délicieux foie gras et un plat composé de 4 variétés différentes de tomates, préparées dans 4 styles différents tout simplement exceptionnels ! La vue est spectaculaire. La carte de dégustation fraîche et animée fait mouche 70 % du temps, les 30 % restants étant un peu fades. Les accords mets et vins étaient locaux et agréables, rien d'extraordinaire. Le problème était le service. J'ai regardé la table à côté de moi se précipiter sur 5 plats en 45 minutes. C'était agressif pas attentif, surtout pour le sud de la France. On m'a demandé 3 fois si j'avais terminé un cours sur lequel je travaillais. J'ai regardé le serveur de pain laisser tomber le pain et j'ai rempli ma propre eau plusieurs fois. Le serveur de vin ne pouvait rien vous dire sur le vin à part lire ce qu'il y avait sur la bouteille et mélanger les portions appariées. Oui,...

My wife and i ate dinner at Les Oliviers on August 26. We frankly did not know what to expect. We chose the restaurant becasue it was in our hotel. We had flown all night to Paris, caugnt a plane to Marseille and driven to Bandol. We thought our first night we would "just" eat in the hotel. Our table was on the outdoor patio overlooking the Mediterranean at sun set. The food and service were an equal to the view. There was an excellant wine list with many Bandol wines. We had a glass of bandol rose and a bottle of red wine from Chateau de Pibarnon. A wonderful evening and i am sorry we didn't "just" have dinner there every night. Réservez une table maintenant

This is a fine dinning restaurant and the food quality is most certainly up to par! We were there for lunch and chose the menu of the day. I must say I was blown away with my starter: beef tongue with a very light aioli sauce, hard boiled egg and chopped parsley! Wow! The flavour mix was just amazing. For the main course we had duck breast (magret de canard), which was perfectly cooked and delicious. The sommelier was a very helpful and nice young man, who advised us splendidly on the best wine to accompany our meal. All in all a great experience, although a bit expensive.

During our summer vacation this restaurant was recommended to us. Located in a 5 star hotel between the Marina of Bandol and a beautiful beach. The menu offers a great selection of fish, meat and various predefined menues . Also the selection of wine is fabulous. From the restaurant you have wonderful view over the pool and the beach. The service is very good and friendly. When you decide for one of the menues, then the whole table has to go for it. The menu offers a good opportunity to taste a variety of the various dishes.Definitely a place to recommend and visit again.

Superb lunch at the restaurant Les Oliviers in the hotel L' Ile Rousse in Bandol. We took the menu "Decouverte"( mets et vins....food and wines). The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The wines were excellent and perfectly matched with the food. A perfect lunchtime dining experience in great surroundings...the restaurant overlooks the sea...and impeccable service.

Excellent food . . . a conference group had our final banquet here; I was expecting good food and limited wine. Au contraire! The food was brilliant from salad to dessert, and the wine kept flowing throughout the meal. The restaurant is in Bandol's only five star restaurant so I shouldn't have been surprised. Excellent and worth the stretch. Réservez une table maintenant

My wife and I stayed at the hotel and we thought we would try the restaurant. Service was very good but we were seated right next to a service station which meant we had to listen to the clatter of plates and cutlery. Menu was very limited and the wine list was huge and pricey. The food was very good a little to over the top for the hotel.
