nous étions contents de séjourner chez des amis à l'opposé de ce que ce petit restaurant pourrait recommander car peu visible depuis la route. il se trouve au bord de la jolie petite ville de Cunlhat (pron : kye-err,) avec un seul panneau sur la route. de là, un itinéraire traverse les champs jusqu'au parking. la bâtisse est assez rustique, avec une terrasse donnant sur les champs et les arbres ; un bel endroit pour s'asseoir dehors sur la terrasse un soir d'été. les employés sont accueillants, mais il est utile de s'exprimer en français. nous nous étions tous les deux échappés, bien que de manière différente, et manger était bon. la spécialité de la maison, recommandée par nos amis, s'appel...
We were fortunate to be staying with friends in the area who could recommend this little restaurant as it is not very noticeable from the road. It is on the outskirts of the small pretty town of Cunlhat (pron: kye-err), with just a sign by the road. From there a track leads through fields to the car park. The building is quite rustic, with a terrace overlooking the fields and trees; a lovely spot to sit outside on the terrace on a summer evening. The staff are welcoming, but it is helpful to be able to get by in French.We both had duck, though done in different ways, and the food was good. nous avons pris un repas choral aux pissoux à la fin de la tournée chorale de mon chœur anglais Ex-Andreas en face. Je suis un natif qui vivait juste à l'extérieur de Cunlhat, et même si j'avais voyagé plusieurs fois auparavant, je n'y avais pas mangé. avant de manger, c'était bon, je m'étais échappé, c'était parfaitement cuit et joliment présenté, et un super bouilli la crème brûlée qui est un de mes plats tests. The restaurant is outside the town - give yourself a few minutes extra to find it. You'll drive down a 300m track from the road and find a parking space, then walk through to the restuarant with it's terrace overlooking the lake. The location also has a number of "gypsy" caravans you can rent in the summer. First impressions are you've walked into a hippy 'encampment' but once inside you find a very comfortable well furnished room with a pizza oven blazing on one corner, and friendly staff. Menu is short and traditional, a good place to go if you like frogs legs, duck confit, etc. but also an extensive range of pizzas.
