My Girl Scout troop (six 13 year-olds) ate there on August 15th 2017. They wanted a "French" dining experience so I thoroughly researched the restaurants in Old Town before selecting Les Pyrenees. (I lived in France for 2 years.) I wanted a fine-dining experience for them but without breaking the budget (we did sell a LOT of cookies to take this trip!) and a robust menu selection for finicky eaters. We were not disappointed! Finding a good but reasonably priced restaurant in the Old City isn't easy. Generally, the closer you are to St. Laurent and the Bon Secours market, the more touristy the trap. A few blocks to the west, the restaurants are a little less touristy, but you're not gonna find a homey family place where the locals go on Rue St. Paul anyway, so don't try. Les Pyrenees could be better, but you could do a lot worse. We ordered a braised lamb shank, a hanger steak, cassoulet, and the pasta of the day, rotini with diced salmon. Truly had a fabulous experience! We asked the concierge at our hotel for a restaurant we could expect a good meal that would allow us to dine with our baby. We were so welcomed, the restaurant is lovely, everything from the bread to our wine to our daughter's chicken fingers to our meals was fanastic. The atmosphere was quiet and comfortable. The food was incredibe, and perfectly portioned. We were seated up front by the window which was such a fantastic spot. They even treated us to some delicious ice wine. Thank you so much to our hosts for such a wonderful meal and experience! Would highly recommend! I can't say enough!
pleasant little restaurant in a beautiful old building in old montreal. service was good, not super attentive or especially warm, but ok. eating was well cooked right I say this because I had scallops and bark meat so this is important to get right. good choice of popular Spanish and Catalan dishes. then I felt the portions were short! my scallop dish needed more scaloping, my filet of bark was only on the small side of my expectation and the desserts lacking creativity. tbh I will not rush back... it is also on the pricier side. so everything in everything.

We went in here as an off chance and were not disappointed. We managed to get seated right away. The staff were very efficient and friendly and served our table right away. The food was excellent, there were 4 of us in our party each ordered something different and all 4 of us were very pleased. The food was served quickly and piping hot. I would definitely go back if in the area and will recommend it to anyone.
This was the best food and wine we had in Montreal. Lamb shank excellent. Tilapia excellent. Orange chocolate cake was outstanding. Tempranillo wine smooth and easy. Very nice interior and quiet. Going in a few days.
I've ordered a nice washboard here. overall it was pretty good. the Fois-Gras share was somewhat smaller than I expected, and there were too many spicy items, but overall it was good.
one of the best meals we had in a very long time. delicious paella, excellent service and very competitive prices. great value, highly recommended!

Good food with their own twist to it. Had a hangar steak which usually is quite easy to mess up. They didn't, it was a good steak. Well done.
