Visited on a busy Sunday evening, without a reservation, but they were still able to find us a table. Understandably only the outdoor covered terrace was being used, bearing in mind the exceedingly hot weather. The main indoor dining area and cooking facilities were super warm we didn’t envy the chefs! Service was pretty slow, and it was pot luck as to whether additional requests were filled promptly or much later after reminders! 1 main was partially served long before the other diners, and the accompanying frites e v e n t u a l l y turned up. Food and drinks a bit pricey, but of a good standard. Very welcome were the free chilled water carafes, which did get refilled without asking.

Went there with three others on a Wednesday night. one had been there before and he recommended it. beautiful surroundings, we were seated on a terrace with a cockerel and hen on the grass just beside us. The cockerel would jump to take food out of your hand if he was encouraged. Service was excellent with a good range of food on the menu. I had a steak which was beautiful with pilau rice flavoured with onion. good range of deserts, coctails wines and some mocktails. Overall an excellent experience which i will repeat when in limoges again

As the restaurant at my hotel was closed for renovations I was advised to book to eat here. It opens from 19:45. I got a table without a reservation. The building is an old renovated barn with a faded 1950’s mural of Pernod Fils on its limestone wall (very Tour de France) They have converted an old bus in the front which is used as a bar for alfresco dining in the summer. Strangely, as you walk in on the right hand side of the stairs is a glazed oak frame behind which is an actual barn hosting large cattle, a donkey and chickens. Unusual

This place is a traditional Bistro with excellent traditional French food upstairs and a farm with live animals downstairs (separated by a window). You 're greeted downstairs by Marguerite the cow munching her grass peacefully with her mates, also including a donkey. Their stable is protected by a window. Upstairs the staff is very friendly and more importantly the food is absolutely delicious! Highly recommended!
