Located on the ground floor of the Grand Hotel at Uriage-les-Bains, the restaurant features large windows facing south and overlooking an outdoor terrace and beyond that a large park in the heart of the village. With the soft light on a summer's evening, the atmosphere inside and out is warm and inviting.We selected the Menu de "Descouvertes", which offers five courses. To start the meal, Chef Aribert proposes a wonderful selection of six amuse-bouches, with details of ingredients printed on a mini-menu placed at each table. This bistro, part of the Grand Hotel at Uriage-les-Bains, and associated with the two-star Michelin restaurant also located in the hotel, looks promising on arrival.The bistro is located on the ground floor of the hotel, with an interior section and an outside terrace, both looking south over the large park in the centre of the village.On the evening we dined here, the bistro offered a limited selection of main dishes prepared on an outdoor barbecue. Choices included lamb chops and duck breast. While the lamb chops were very good, the duck breast was overdone and dry. Appetizers and desserts were just so-so. Service was a bit slow and haphazard, although friendly.
En venant toujours avec un grand plaisir aux terrasses prendre un café un apéritif avec une planche de charcuterie nous avons découvert que le lundi en août on pouvait se faire servir une viande au barbecue avec un gratin de pommes de terre et de la ratatouille plus un excellent. dessert et le tout pou 26 eurosC est cadeau pour un établissement de ce style.merci à la charmante serveuse et à à André qui est un grand professionnel et un homme charmant au service de ses clients.
