Aux Trois Arcades est situé près de Calais, ce que nous recherchions pour un ferry tôt le matin. Il est à environ 20 km et à quelques kilomètres de l'autoroute, donc aucun problème pour y accéder. En fait, c'est un hôtel avec un restaurant et non juste un restaurant, et il s'appelle AUX Trois Arcades et non LES Trois Arcades !! Au cœur de cette ville plutôt ordinaire mais inspirante, le bruit ne nous a pas dérangé. Les chambres sont lumineuses et très propres, avec un lit confortable… mais attention à l'escalier très étroit et étroit. Aux Trois Arcades is near Calais which we wanted for an early ferry. It is about 20kms away and a couple of kms from the motorway so getting there is no issue. In fact it is a hotel with a restaurant and not a restaurant and also it is called AUX Trois Arcades and not LES Trois Arcades!! Right in the middle of this fairly ordinary, uninspiring town but noise was not a problem for us. The rooms are bright very clean and the bed comfy....buy up a very narrow and tight stairs.The restaurant is a pizzeria and serves good food, at reasonable prices. Bourbourg n'a que peu de choses à recommander : une belle église, quelques bars sympathiques, mais il est à 15 minutes en voiture du port de ferry de Dunkerque et dispose d'un endroit agréable et inimaginable pour séjourner à l'hôtel des trois arcades. La chambre où nous avons séjourné était calme (malgré les travaux de rue à l'extérieur de la porte), simplement décorée, mais avec des lits confortables et une bonne salle de douche et de toilettes. Le Wi-Fi fonctionnait bien et le restaurant au rez-de-chaussée était un endroit raisonnable pour dîner, avec principalement des burgers et des steaks au menu, mais une ambiance conviviale et une bonne carte des vins. Bourbourg has little to recommend it: a fine church, a few pleasant bars, but it is 15 minutes drive from the ferry port of Dunkirk and has a pleasant, unassuming place to stay in the Three Arcades Hotel. The room we stayed in was quiet (in spite of road works outside the door), simply decorated, but with comfortable beds and a good shower and toilet room. Wi-fi was fine and the restaurant downstairs was a reasonable place to dine, with mostly burgers and steaks on the menu, but a friendly ambience and good wine list. Came to this restaurant as it seemed to be the only one open in the vicinity on a Monday night. It is also a hotel (low cost). The food was fairly basic - pizzas, steak and chips, salads but it was OK. The waiter was friendly and helpful. Wine was good. There were a number of large families so definitely child friendly and low cost child menu available.
