Food thoughtful, quite good, though main courses a little bland. But watch out for the bill! Confusion over complex choices mixed with free' wine and coffee badly explained by staff pre meal, led to a grossly increased bill. When politely queried aggressive staff eventually persued...us out of building shouting! They misled us (not deliberately and were furious when invited to explain. We were shocked! Fact: menu included free wine/coffee. did not. We were pushed towards dearer menu, offered the free wine, then invited to pay for it. Staff allege all is explained in print somewhere.

The general rule to not eat at your IBIS hotel holds up. The food here is mediocre. You can eat it most of the time, sometimes even rather good, but why should you accept this level in a country that does good food? So you...better avoid. This said, THE HOTEL itself is very good including the breakfast. Just do not have dinner here.

We called in for lunch, I had the rabbit which must have been older than me, and I'm a pensioner, it was very tough and over cooked. My wife had an omelet which wasn't too bad but a small portion. The decor is more like...a canteen, thank god the staff were friendly.

We have eaten here several times, the last time in April was relatively disappointing with tough steak. Overall it is OK, very convenient for the ferry terminal and reasonable but not great value for money

ordered the ham with what we thought was mashed potatoes, when it arrived it was sweet potato puree which neither of us like and the ham was so salty we both left most of it
