We enjoyed a fabulous dinner here last night. The Camembert tapas dish my husband had as a starter was the standout dish. After having a taste, I had plate envy! But my octopus salad was very tasty too. The salmon cooked on the hot plate...was divine crispy skin and perfectly cooked. The house white wine was great and only for The service was friendly from all those working there the chef even popped his head around as I was paying to ask if I’d enjoyed the fish (the waiter had recommended it). On a street full of colourful and visually appealing restaurants, the decor inside Les Trois Rois is dark and dated, so I wonder how many spontaneous diners they miss, as it wasn’t busy on this Friday night. Don’t let that put you off though. It has been our best, and least expensive, dinner out in France so far!
There are so many places to choose from when eating in Marseille. I am so glad we walked through the doors of this little gem! The food was incredible! We had the foie gras appetizer, and the beef tartare salmon tataki entrees. Done to...perfection! The atmosphere was lovely, and the staff were very attentive. Highly recommended, you won't be disappointed!
We dined here as a group (ladies) and had a pleasant evening, the staff were lovely and polite and the food was delicious we struggle a little with the French only menu but got our phones out to decipher the French (our problem) It...was a little on the small side so definitely worth booking in advance but I certainly say it's worth a visit.
