We ate at two of the restaurants during our stay. The first was the Brasserie. This is their average restaurant, or the one you go to for breakfast or lunch. We did breakfast as we paid for that to be included in advance. Remember there is a currency exchange, so that was the most sensible. Now back to the food. The breakfast was exquisite. I am a coffee drinker, and as many know they coffee is richer overseas. I started almost every morning with a coffee and espresso. The breakfast was both order off a menu and buffet. I often go to this restaurant and I never regret the decision. For dinner it is usually not easy to find a seat. An extensive menu, but I would recommend the meats, with an ample selection (steaks, entrecôte, kidneys, liver, chicken, etc). This last time the French fries could have been better (less oily). Nice desserts, I love the chocolate mousse.
Visited here for dinner on a Thursday evening. Glad we had booked ahead as the brasserie was full. The staff were really friendly and helpful and were happy to speak to us in English. We had steaks which were fantastic. Lots of other regional dishes available. Really worth a visit.
Tucked behind Lausanne's main railway station, Les Trois Rois (the Three Kings) is a classic brasserie with an excellent atmosphere, excellent service and great food. The restaurant is well maintained and has a really good vibe. Lots of classic Swiss/French dishes.
