Nous avons trouvé cet endroit sur recommandation et y avons dîné plusieurs fois. La qualité de la nourriture et le service ne varient jamais, ils sont toujours excellents et Yannick est un hôte divertissant. De nombreux restaurants français s'appellent une Auberge, sans en être une. Les Truffières sont authentiques, totalement authentiques, extrêmement pittoresques et décalés dans tous les sens du terme, et tout cela crée une ambiance fabuleuse. La réservation est indispensable car Yannick ne prend que des réservations pour 5 tables. L'endroit n'est jamais surpeuplé et le personnel a peu de temps pour être attentif. Unbelievable experience. If you are anywhere near Tremolat and don't visit here for dinner then you are wrong. The setting is an incredible farm where we were greeted by a howling donkey upon parking in front of the restaurant. The owner and operator of the restaurant is Yannic, an amazingly delightful individual who made us feel like we were friends over for dinner as opposed to visitors from 4000 miles away. The food was incredible, and the wine also provided a phenomenal pairing for the experience... of which we enjoyed a fair amount.
Heureux d'avoir réservé à l'avance. Nous sommes arrivés dimanche midi par une belle journée ensoleillée et avons été très bien accueillis. Nous avons dîné dans le jardin avec des ânes dans le champ voisin et de nombreux objets originaux dans le jardin et la salle à manger. La nourriture était merveilleuse et il y en avait beaucoup, on ne commande pas Yannick sert les plats qu'il prépare, principalement à base de canard et de foie gras.
I loved this place. Beautiful garden, cats for snuggling, delicious food and a lovely cook and service! After we enjoyed the menu for the first time we made a reservation (recommended!) for another day. If you want to have the "tout canard" experience, you definitely get the best one there. Oh and of course a very nice selection of wines :) and dogs are welcome, too.
