We were staying in the Terrasses D'Eos apartments, with family in Terrasses d'Helios (just up the road) and wanted somewhere to eat on our last night, so decided to give L'Eterlou a try, as much for convenience as for any other reason. I had popped...in for a drink with my wife the evening before, as we couldn't be bothered to leave the building (soooo lazy) and got chatting with the barman maitre'd. We stayed at Terraces d'Eos the restaurant is a part of the same building but an entirely separate business. Our experience with the restaurant across the week suggests that the owner is at best unpredictable and a bit volatile at worse, pretty unbearably...rude. Dismissive, unprofessional, generally unpleasant. It's difficult to avoid the conclusion that he knows he's got a more or less captive market, doesn't have to rely on returns, and doesn't really give a monkeys. We are very likely to stay at the Terraces d'Eos again, but the chances of us returning to the restaurant are slim at most. We were staying at Terrasse d Eos and L’Eterlou is the in-house restaurant. We arrived late on Saturday evening, were hungry and worried that we would not be able to get a meal. We need not have worried! We received a warm welcome and had...a drink while our table was prepared. The menu has lots of wonderful choices. We chose the duck, the lamb shank and the wild Monkfish Shepard’s pie. All arrived beautifully presented and tasted delightful! The wine selection we were guided to was wonderful and not over priced. We booked the night before and were glad we did! Beef burger with the meat cooked to order on a black bun with a small salad on the side was tasty. The restaurant is in an airy room with a small enough number of tables...to give a cosy impression, an exception in ski resorts. Heads of to the professional service.

Enjoyed a nice dinner at a snowy evening. Service was very good and personal. We went for the course set menu with plenty of choices. Happy to recommend this to anyone who wants a quiet dinner.
