Wow what a wonderful experience we had last night our beloved son Richard lives in supported living placement in whitworth rd nearby he is autistic we travelled up from croydon Surrey first time here ,wow what a welcome ,my wife Barbara is wheelchair user so was apprehensive about access and amenities as per but was met by a very polite and respectful young man and table in the bar area already laid out for us which having an autistic son and myself also autistic and disabled wife and a very long journey it was very heartwarming environment especially for 5pm on a Tuesday, manager was very nice respectful and friendly and approachable felt welcoming and wanted ,my beloved Barbara and my son...

I met my autistic son, Richard, at this charming restaurant and we were both very impressed not only by the delicious food, but also by the friendly and attentive service. My son was constantly joking, as he does, and our waitress, Cara, took it in stride. We enjoyed fish and chips with breaded mushrooms and onion rings, as well as donuts and ice cream for dessert - it was all very enjoyable. The restaurant had great food and many TVs playing sports, but the best part was the good-natured banter with the staff. We reside close by but had never visited this restaurant before. We were meeting a friend for lunch and were blown away by how delicious the fish and chips were. They were large, fresh, and the batter was perfectly crispy and crunchy. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Doubtless the best fish and chips for miles around. Totally ruined by poor ambience, clueless and disinterested waitresses and loud-mouthed youths whooping in the attached bar. My advice: close the sports bar and concentrate on the fish and chips. Réservez une table maintenant

Me and my work colleague are now regulars and Cara is very accommodating for our post work rants , I can come any day of the week and Cara’s service is one of a kind really brings a good atmosphere even on a slower day

The food and drinks at this restaurant were amazing. The host, Earnest, was friendly and welcoming. I'm so pleased with the recent renovations that have made the interior of the place absolutely beautiful.

Great option for vegans loved the menu on the day offer the mooless moo jackfruit pie with chips! Great and quick service plus great welcoming and customer services. Highly recommend!

Hands down Lighthouse is the best Fish and Chips in the area by some distance never fails to hit the spot. Plus a great range of beers served in cold glasses. Love it. Réservez une table maintenant

Absolutely with out a doubt the best fish and chips I have ever had. the fish was a prime cut and was cooked to perfection. a hidden gem in a vast town.
