Lighthouse Cafe

This cute little has a nice feel to it. The staff are on it and very friendly and helpful. Our chicken, tomato, garlic sauce is something I am craving to have again soon. One of the specials our group had was meatloaf, mashed potatoes and mixed veggies. The portion was generous and the mix of veggies was really great. The one downside, which was disappointing is that the meatloaf and the potatoes were too salty. I am a salt lover, but it was too salty for even me.

I went here specifically for the Friikadeller (Danish meatball) as I had it a few years ago at the Lighthouse Diner in San Rafael before it closed and I found that this café had the same owner. It was as delicious as I remember and a real treat for my Scandinavian taste buds! My friend had the pot roast and enjoyed every drop of it. My only complaint is that the chairs are very unpleasant, but after the wine and food arrived, I forgot!

We really like to eat here. Many decisions, well prepared, with friendly and competent service. We recently tried for dinner and thought it was very good. My fish and chips were perfectly prepared - crispy on the outside and moist inside. Many Koleslaw accompanied it with some freshly tasting Aoli sauce. We will definitely return to both meals.

This is the nonsensical neighborhood restaurant that our area had been waiting for: unpretentious family style cooking with a Nordic touch, friendly and efficient service, prices that allow to become a regular one that we intend to become.
