Great cheap eats pub. Steak sandwiches with your choice of side is every day. I thought the meat was going to be bad given the price but it's surprisingly good. Onion rings as a side were plentiful and good. Food came hot which is...always a must for me. Drinks beer/house wines also decently priced. Honestly, I can't think of another pub in Canada that provides such value for your money and I have travelled the east coast, Ontario, Quebec and BC. We went twice while I was in town and between us we also tried their clubhouse, wings, stir fry and lasagna...all pretty decent and reasonably priced. I reviewed Lighthouse years ago and have visited here several times in the past couple of years. I think that their food has improved even if their beer selection has not. We typically go there on a Friday evening for their steak sandwich and...fish and chips special (have the more expensive one, the cheap breaded pollock is not worth it at all). The do have a decent assortment of appetizers and a good selection of mains and shareables for any taste. I like the price on the steak sandwich at a deal. Beers range from to depending. A decent local pub with good food and a typical large and noisy weekend crowd.
We stopped the Lighthouse for a late lunch after working all morning on a demolition project. We were very hungry. Three of us enjoyed delicious burgers, and one had an okay wrap. The chicken wings seemed to come with the wrong sauce but were still...okay. The server made us feel at home and the booth seating was very cozy. The sports memorabilia on the walls was interesting and brought back some fond memories. We all agreed that we will return soon.
The highlight of the visit was the great humour of our waitress. The food was ok. I had the steak sandwich which was over seasoned. Wife had the breakfast special. The white toast they didn’t have any other kind) the overcooked hash brown paddy...was tolerable. If I’m the area for wing day, I would be interested in trying them. I wish they had a better selection of craft beer as there house brand is from a big box local brewery.

Had the need for a beer and appy and decided to stop as it looked busy. Pleasantly surprised when we walked in. Great atmosphere and crowd seemed to be enjoying themselves Our server was prompt and friendly. Good knowledge of the menu and types of...beer on tap We ordered the popcorn shrimp which were really tasty. The owner stopped by and chatted with us for awhile which was nice
This place has very decent (cheap) drink and food specials most times. Decent service and atmosphere, with the negative being that smokers huddle around the entrance/exit doors so u get a big wiff of cigarette smoke when u enter or leave. So much for...enforcing the meter from entrance bylaw !
Dropped in last Friday and the atmosphere was excellent. They were playing a Dean Martin song and lots of the tables joined in singing the song. Very comfortable place to be even if one is on there own. Great local for the...residents of the area.

It is the only pub that I frequent when my wife and I venture out, food is great and service is quick and polite. Love the framed hockey sweater decor..
They're just the best folks ever. It's like hunkering down in your own family room once you get to know the staff.
