After being closed for a while.... I really missed the BBQ from this place.. Be fore they closed the messed up an order I got for out of town co-workers for catering Co I worked for. Got it to where we were staying.. NO HOT LINK SANDWICH...AND THE 2) CHICKEN DINNERS WERE DRY AS HELL. I called and complained the said they would replace it, and did not go back for a while. Then they burnt down I got excited for the re opening... But to my dismay everything I have gotten has been lack of a better word GROSS .. It all tastes like ham. Not the cooked on wood flavor I loved. The Hot link was my fav Now it tastes like play dough in a casing and was not hot. Just nasty.... Might go in for fries and...

I was excited to finally try this place for the first time ever and give them my business since they had that fire but was I in for a surprise when I got home and open up the bag I got a large order of rib tips and told the guy to put the fries on the side because they we for my granddaughter when I tell you I have never seen anything like it coming out of a restaurant believe it the fries looked like the left over scraps from the bottom of the pan and wasn’t even a handful and the thinly sliced fat of the rib tips was just that and so hard we couldn’t even eat it with hardly no meat I called them up and told them about it and he did offer to refund. my money but I told him to keep it becaus...

First time back after the fire, we got the Friday beef rib special. Delicious, tender meat, still clearly flame-cooked. The sauce a little different from the old days--maybe a little darker, less tomatoey than before. Fries good crispy, a bit smaller. Bread improved over the old Wonder bread--better flavor crispier. Overall, just enough reinvention to be different, but still recognizable Li'l Porgy. The old Li'l Porgy's was a bit coarse but bold--sometimes the ribs might be overcooked, but it almost always had a great, brash, bbq flavor. With the new Porgy's you may not taste the wood smoke as much, but in other ways, the care attention to detail are paying off.

Excellent pork BBQ sandwich. Very affordable and clean fast service. Plenty of dining area inside easy access.
