A few weeks ago, while driving down Georgia Avenue, a friend and I spotted the bright green sign of Lime Cilantro, which instantly grabbed our attention. Since we’ve lived in Montgomery County our entire lives and never noticed it before, we figured it must be a new spot. Just yesterday, I met another friend there for an early dinner, and we both really enjoyed the meal and the overall experience. Our server was very courteous and took the time to offer thoughtful recommendations. The food was as delicious as it looked, beautifully presented with rich Latin flavors. It’s clear that the chef and kitchen team put great effort into ensuring every dish looks perfect before it reaches the table....

We visited Lime Cilantro because of its high ratings, and it was quite busy on a Tuesday evening. However, our experience and taste differed from those who rated it highly. The food felt overpriced for both the quality and overall experience. While the prices are comparable to fine dining, the ambiance does not match that level. Our food arrived slowly, and after a long wait, the server informed us that some dishes were unavailable. We assumed this might be due to the restaurant being new. I dined with a group of five, and every one of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. We started with the corn hummus, poached pear salad, and guacamole as appetizers, followed by homemade tacos, a torta, and branzino salads for our main courses. Each dish highlighted fresh, seasonal ingredients and offered vibrant Latin flavors. The desserts matched the excellence of the mains, with the Tres Leches Bread Pudding standing out as our favorite.
