I did not know this restaurant before I went to Auvers-sur-Oise on my way to CDG airport. I just popped in this restaurant after looking round the beautiful Gogh village. I rounded up a little bit to the Chateau Auvers, and found out a restaurant. At first I hesitated to enter, because I thought that restaurants inside the tourist spot did not give good impression on food. Normally such a restaurant is related with the tour, not gastronomy. But as time was already over noon and felt hungry, I did not have choice. But L'impressionnist' Cafe was a surprisingly fantastic local restaurant. Quelle belle surprise !!! Je recommande vivement ce restaurant pour l'endroit en lui-même car il fait partie du château, sa cuisine très élaborée et excellente, et enfin, mais non des moindres, le service. En bref : un repas au rapport qualité/prix décent et délicieux dans un endroit merveilleux avec un personnel de haut niveau aux petits soins.
We had lunch at this restaurant. The food and service were wonderful. The price was very reasonable 12 Euros for Appetizer Main or Main Dessert, and 18 Euros for all 3 courses. The portions were generous. The restaurant has limestone/rock walls and arches and is behind the chateau.
