We have stopped here many times on our way to Bar Harbor. We time it so it will be lunch time in Freeport and my husband thinks their lobster rolls are the best. He likes that it is all claw meat. For me, I really like their crabmeat rolls. The toasted rolls are tasty and with chips and coleslaw, it is filling. Usually we sit near LL Bean then go inside for shopping. There is a man who works here and has been here each time we come. It seems like he remembers us even though we only come once a year. Maybe because this tradition has been going for at least 10 years!

There is a difference between this walk up stand and the main restaurant across the street. The lobster roll at this stand is amazing! Service is great. There are no waitresses here. It is a walk up stand. I have also eaten at the main restaurant andyes the service was terrible there and the lobster roll was not as good there as it is from this little stand. There areseveral picnic tables you can eat at by the stand. You will be glad you stopped.

It seems that some people might overlook this place, thinking it’s just another street-level restaurant. However, I found it to be quite good. I placed my order quickly, and my food was served to me in no time. I sat at a table furnished by LL Bean, which added to the ambiance. The taste was excellent, and there was a generous amount of lobster. I would definitely stop by again if I returned to Freeport.

It looks like some folks are mixing up this place (walk up stand) with the place across the street (sit down restaurant). This place was good. I walked up and placed my order. I had it very quick and then I sat at a table up by LL Bean. The flavor wasgood and you get a lot of lobster. I?d stop here again if I were to come back to Freeport. Réservez une table maintenant

Great stop during a shopping trip. The wait staff will make sure you enjoy everything. The medium cooked burger was perfectly charred on the outside. The home-made chips are thick and crispy, not greasy. The stick-to-your-ribs clam chowder is full of clams!Sitting at a table with a street view? Even the chair legs have wheels.

Gotta be honest, wasn't impressed by the kitchen. Slow to get food out, and 2 of three orders were not made to the menu description (missing items). Server seemed to be overworked, and constantly huffing. Hot dogs for the kids were basic, andunappealing. The brie grilled cheese was mostly apple, and lacked taste.

Surprised, but it's true. The lobster roll at the stand was the best I had all trip. The lobster starred but whatever marinade or way of cooking it really added to the flavor. Cannot recommend enough!

Wandering around Freeport is tiring. And it's mostly sit down restaurants. But I saw this walk up place, and the second time I passed it, I saw they had soup. Lobster bisque. Oh man, so good! Yum. Réservez une table maintenant

Convenient location. My crab roll was a little on the small side but delicious. Grilled cheese sandwich was a deal for $5.
