I really want this place to turn things around. They are my neighborhood coffee shop and I just wish it wasn't awful nearly every time I go in. The food servings are really small but taste fine. The coffee isn't that bad either. The staff is just so confused. They are often out of things that are listed on signs or the menu, they cannot handle an order with more than one drink and there is no skill or care when crafting any drink outside of drip coffee. I have to communicate my drink order no less than three times and sometimes 5 or 6 times (while they are making it). There is so much potential with this place. Have they never been to a legit coffee shop??
I love this place. Great ambiance, food and coffee. I love that they carry an abundance of sugar free syrups and they even sell them for your at home use. The Campagnolo (now called the Kamp) is my favorite. My kids love the chips that come on the side as well. The melting spot is very versatile. It can be a nice little nook to read to your little ones or to have a business meeting, as I've used this little room for both. It's a bit of a drive since we live on the southeast end of St. Cloud, but is well worth the drive. As an added bonus it's right next to The Pantry, which is my favorite place to pick up specialty goodies I cannot find elsewhere.
Every now and then, a gold prospector strikes it lucky and finds a nugget among the gold dust. That's how I feel about this cozy spot in Sartell. The coffee is delicious, but the food is the real treasure! I've tried several dishes and haven't been disappointed yet. Come for the coffee, but stay for the amazing sandwiches or the delightful soup. Like many cafes in Minnesota, we all hope to see them thrive beyond Covid and navigate the strict governmental regulations (which this place clearly follows) and emerge from the pandemic even stronger. I wholeheartedly support this local business!
My husband and I came here one time, never again. The breakfast sandwiches were disgusting, no flavor and poorly put together. The bread for my panini sandwich was inside out...who does that? It's not artistic, it's just silly. My husbands coffee was full of coffee grounds. He went and asked for a different one, they gave him another with EVEN MORE coffee grounds in it. They have really good lattes more on the Sweet side none of the bitter aftertaste that some coffee places have. Slightly less sweet than a typical Starbucks. service is always good , they also have really good breakfast items. This said , the breakfast items are missing a unique touch to give a 4 stars.
