Lit Espresso - Réservation de table

Came here with a friend for a quick coffee. We wanted to sit on a patio, but walked by Lit and decided to just grab a coffee and a seat on the bench outside. Coffee was disappointing. We both ordered Americanos but they were served to us looking like normal drip coffees. The staff seemed pretty indifferent. My friend said that it's pretty hit or miss at that cafe, as she had been there before and had both good and disappointing experiences. I'll give it another try, it seemed like a cool cafe and in a great location.

Definitely a cool spot and the fact that they serve Stumptown coffee is awesome. Espresso was well prepared and had a rich flavor to it. The cappuccino on the other hand wasn't as good as expected. The pattern was well prepared however the foam wasn't velvety and smooth (had many large bubbles) and the ratio coffee-foam was a bit off, it tasted very strong. Overall an awesome spot, friendly staff, Stumptown coffee...... All reasons to be back very soon.

Cute Cafe, rich espresso. Stopped by shortly on a Monday morning for my usual black Americano. The espresso flavour was rich the right blend of bitter and sour tang. The cafe itself is a wonderful work environment, and played relaxing music from Debussy to indie instrumentals. Also a perfect place to create art on its long, large tables. I would definitely come again. It is a well fitting restaurant in the heart of Little Italy.

There are many independently owned cafes in Toronto, but my favorite is Lit Espresso Bar. The staff is always friendly and very knowledgeable about coffee. Lit also roasts its own coffee, called Pig Iron Coffee, which is carefully selected and roasted to perfection to bring out the best flavor. They also offer a delicious cold brew coffee that is perfect for hot summer months. Réservez une table maintenant

This restaurant holds a special place in my heart. Everything I tried was great - from the muffins and brownies to the tea and hot chocolate. The flavors and aromas made me feel like I was at home. The prices are low considering the quality of the food. I highly recommend this place and I regret not taking any photos.

This restaurant serves the best coffee in the city. The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff is very friendly. They roast their own beans and offer a variety of coffee beans from different parts of the world that you can purchase to enjoy at home.

I had to get a second job to be able to buy a few cups of coffee from here saw lots of chubby girls hanging around but I didnt see too much food so I guess they like the coffee more than I did

Lit has an amazing atmosphere, especially if you sit at the bar facing the street. If I didn't live in Calgary, this would definitely be my go-to hangout spot. Réservez une table maintenant

This restaurant is a great spot for studying, but I personally love coming here for the ALT sandwich - it's my favorite choice on the menu.

Lit's staff is always welcoming and smiles abound. They offer toys and books to keep kids entertained.
