We stopped by Little Arabia on a late Saturday morning for brunch, and we were not disappointed. We love the traditional Lebanese breakfast of zaatar and cheese pizza pies, and so we took the opportunity while visiting Anaheim. We ordered spinach pies (pasties , a zaatar and cheese pizza pie (half and half and a zaatar and veggie wrap, which is a zaatar pizza pie wrapped around diced tomatoes, cucumbers and mint leaves (eaten like a sandwich . The food we ordered was outstanding in its flavor and presentation. The spinach pasties had the right balance of tartness from lemon juice, and sweetness from sauteed onions. The pastie crust was crispy on the outside and warm and luscious on the inside. These spinach pasties reminded me of the flavors of my mom's. They were that good! The zaatar pie and wrap were also delicious. The crust was excellent and the toppings had the right proportions. I would definitely order the zaatar veggie wrap again. Inside Little Arabia is another business that sells crepes and fruit drinks and shakes. So we ordered a choco-fruit crepe for my young son. It consisted of Nutella chocolate-nut spread and slices of fresh fruit (strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, pineapple over 2 warm crepes. It was decadent and delicious! We finished our meal by ordering a strong pot of Turkish coffee and a dozen spinach pasties to go. (Yes, they were that good, and they freeze very well--so why not? Just pop a few in the toaster oven for 8-10 minutes and you've got a very healthy snack or light meal. I highly recommend you visit Little Arabia for an authentic taste of Lebanon.
