Little Canton Chinese Restaurant

We had previously eaten at this 'restaurant' several years ago and enjoyed it. It was good cheap Chinese food, and you paid what you would expect to pay. Tonight, for mother's day, mum decided she wanted to relive these visits. We returned. We will not ever do so again. We had walked in the door and shown to a table and immediately asked what we wanted to drink - at the same time the menu and wine list were being handed to us. We then had to wait for about 15 minutes before our food order was taken, the person taking it didn't seem to understand what we were ordering, so I was pointing to the items on the menu. My husband was told that they do not serve what he asked for, after showing it to them on the menu, one hour later they bring out the wrong entrée. there were 3 of us, Mum got her main course first, then her soup, my husband got his soup (eventually), after his main course was brought out, and then I was told that the vegetarian dumplings I had ordered were not available. I do not know why this took so long to find out. I decided to scrap entrée and wait for main - crispy noodle with chicken and vegetables. the only crispy noodles on the plate were the 3 they burnt, the rest were a soggy mess in some sort of tasteless broth, the chicken bordering on inedible (the stomach pains are setting in) and no seasoning on the table. the whole evening was a disgrace, without a word of apology except insincerely from some poor young guy sent out to deal with us (and bring us the wrong thing). To top it all off, the satay that mum ordered first, came out in time for desert, which we did not have there.Would I ever recommend this place - not to my worst enemy. I would also suggest that health and food safety pay a visit.

We wanted to make a run for it when we had ordered the drinks but thought we should give them a chance as you never know. Unfortunately, we should have left like we wanted to! The service was ok?! The food was awful and a total waste of money!!! I only had a few bites out of the 3 dishes we ordered so left there having not eaten. When paying we were not asked if we enjoyed the meal or anything?! Restaurants need to ask their customers how there meal was. I would normally have spoken up and said something in a polite manner, but I just wanted to get out of there. They are lucky to even be in business so my suggestion to the Golden Crown is they need to get their food and service up to standard if they want to stay in business and have happy and satisfied customers and reviews. My advice is - DO NOT GO HERE! Harsh but true...

This is one of our favourite local Asian food restaurants.A great menu for dinner with yum cha being the go for lunches-- its especially popular for Sunday brunch when bookings are essential.A typical Aussie/Asian menu is on offer but also more traditional chinese food is available--- the place is always full of chinese families and chinese students who seem to relish cooking their own food on burners on the table-- a large selection of raw meats,seafood , vegetables and noodles are on display in a buffet setting to choose from. In addition if your budget runs to it you can select your own live fish,lobster or abalone from large tanks on display--- deep pockets are required for this.Staff are friendly and overall ambience fine-- worth a visit.

Used to be good but suspect under new management or is it just the internal relocation but the food here is now poor, where once it was good. Strongly suspect the pork had been reheated as it was tough and the rice was poor as well. definitely have scratched this one off of our list.

Disappointed with banquet size. Ordered for 9 people and got for 3. Biggest ripoff. Went and ordered pizzas after to feed us. Also checked our receipt after and the waiter added drinks to our order we never had.
