little italy Bar Bistro Restaurant

Driving on the German highway on our way to Denmark we drove from traffic jam to traffic jam. Bremen was bad and Hamburg was even worse around 6 pm. Finally we passes Hamburg and considered having dinner at a restaurant at the highway. But... with data free roaming in Europe it is suddenly very easy to pick a restaurant just off the highway. So we found Little Italy. In one word : excellent We were friendly welcomed in and the fact that we had a dog was no problem. Service was, eventhough the restaurant was busy, very good and fast. Four of us went here. Shared a mixed Anti pasti starter both hot and cold for 2. It served 4 of us amply. I went for the Lamb in a Gorgonzola sauce; the meat was very good but the sauce was very, very salty. The Seabream was a tad dry. The other two mains were good. Everyone got a dessert on the house, a sort of Mille Feuillle. It was a tad chaotic when they were busy but things calmed down later. I would return.

This Italian restaurant is ok. There was quite a language barrier though. I only speak English and Russian. I even tried using a bit of Italian and they did not understand. They even fat fingered my bill and tried to charge me €70,000 for one meal! When they realized the mistake, they couldn’t figure out how to tell me the error. I ended up just ripping up the bill and payed in cash.

beautiful atmosphere, although the tables were full of crumbs. the service was relatiw friendly. the pizza was good, though a bit salted. I would go back.

Nice restaurant, with good food, good service and waiters where going around singing and creating a very nice atmosphere.
