I booked the Mother's Day lunch for my Mum and I (it was also my birthday). On arrival, we were seated with a beautiful view overlooking the beach and given a la carte menus. I mentioned we had booked the Mother's Day Special and he told us the price, then what was included. I stopped him before telling her the surprise gift at the end as I didn't want her to know until the end. I was a bit disappointed that she knew the price. But that's where my disappointment ended. The seafood basket was fresh, varied and sumptuous. It matched perfectly well with the champagne and was finished off with a dazzling display of a shared dessert. I spent a wonderful late afternoon and early evening at Manly Wine on Saturday, May 21, enjoying the views of surfers and watching the sunlight transition into twilight. I started with a plate of six oysters (delicious!), followed by Yamba prawns cooked a la plancha, served with chipotle, garlic butter, and bread for soaking up the sauce (so good!). To top it all off, I enjoyed a spectacular botrytized Semillon dessert wine from Glenguin Estate in the Hunter Valley that was simply to die for! The service was excellent, with great recommendations for both the menu and the wine.
Rocking up in our exercise gear at this all-white, beach shack-of-a-wine bar, my friend and I were WAY underdressed. But, after relaxing into a bar stool and ordering a selection of seafood to share we stopped caring.<br/ <br/ Although, looking around Manly Wine, we did have to wonder whether we’d missed the ‘no men allowed’ sign on the front door. There was not a male specimen in sight.<br/ <br/ While there might be no men, there is lobster roll! Not the best LR I’ve had in my life, but any place that has wine in its name deserves forgiveness.
The atmosphere was delightful, and I really enjoyed the groovy jazzy music along with the fantastic view of the beach. I appreciated that they had a dedicated section on the menu for vegetarian and vegan dishes, making it easy to find options. There were plenty of great vegetarian choices available, so for once, I didn’t feel limited to just a roasted pumpkin salad. The staff was wonderful—very kind and attentive. The only downside is that we won’t be able to join for Funky Friday! I would have loved to experience that!

We've had two fantastic visits to this restaurant during our stay in Manly! The wine list is impressive, featuring a wide selection available by the glass, carafe, or bottle. The view is stunning, with nothing blocking the beach except for a few pine trees and the opportunity to people-watch. The staff, particularly Shane, were delightful, engaging, friendly, and well-informed—his wine expertise is remarkable, so be sure to ask him for recommendations. We will definitely return!
What a fabulous Melbourne Cup lunch ! Perfect atmosphere super friendly staff the food was so delicious and to top it that chocolate brownie and deconstructed key lime pie was to die for Thankyou we'll be back next year.
We had a wonderful breakfast here today. Delicious Eggs Benny and the Manly Breakfast is fabulous! Good coffee and hot chocolate too. Friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend, we will be back
We have now been here twice, for dinner breakfast you have not disappointed. Great service, food, drinks of course the view. Wonderful place to just chill with a cocktail as well. We will return
