My first visit to this restaurant was met with a one-hour wait, but once we were seated, our server promptly brought us water and menus. We started our meal with French fries, chicken wings, cheese nachos, and coconut shrimp. The garlic dip with the fries was fantastic. For our main courses, we ordered chicken pesto, shrimp tacos, chipotle chicken sandwich, chicken tacos, and clam chowder. All of the dishes were delicious, with fresh flavors and generous portions. We ended our meal with the standout Belgian chocolate mousse cake, which is a must-try. Our server was efficient and friendly. There are also plenty of vegetarian options available.
I visited Freehouse Taproom for lunch during the fall foliage season. We were seated right away, even though the dining area was more than 75% full. Our waitress arrived quickly to go over the menu and specials of the day. Our drinks and food were served promptly. We mainly ordered appetizers, which were both hot and delicious. This was my second visit to the Taproom, and once again, it did not disappoint. I will definitely be returning. Food: 4 stars.
I've been here a couple of times before and had a better experience. The food has gotten much more expensive and is underwhelming. My wife got the shrimp tacos and in the 3 tacos were 5 shrimp and a ton of bell peppers, also there was a huge pile of greens. I got the steak tips and frites, again, a very small serving of tips and a pile of frites. What there was was tasty, but we felt we had paid a lot for a lot of filler. Price per person: $20–30
My partner and I had an awesome dinner here after a long day of hiking. He has Celiac and we were really pleasantly surprised that the restaurant had a designated GF menu and a staff knowledgeable about Celiac/cross contamination. We both had excellent burgers and beers, and I loved the current salted caramel coffee cocktail! Would definitely recommend. Price per person: $30–50
