I came across this place while having a quick lunch at a nearby place in the cosy Grabengasse in Bad Kissingen, and decided to book a table for the evening with my girlfriend. they have a reservation and expect to wait when the restaurant is full! that is a family-run restaurant, and the man and the woman do it all with their son who goes behind. the restaurant is small. maybe 3 tables outside and 12 inside. the ambiente is. kozy, although a little cool in october with the front door opened and the heating not switched on. it took 30 minutes to get our drinks and 90 minutes to get our main dish. the food was worth waiting. my tagliatelle was made home and so tasteful. the pizzas here are also true Italian style with a thin, crispy crust. the house red wine and bruschetta appetizers were also delicious. would like to recommend and return!

Maybe outdoor tables and indoor. The ambiance is...cozy although a little chilly in October with the front door propped open and the heaters not turned on. It took Minutes to get our drinks and Minutes to get our main dish. The food was worth the wait. My tagliatelle was House made and so flavorful. The pizzas here are also true Italian style with a thin, crispy crust. The house red wine and bruschetta appetizers were also delicious. Would gladly recommend and return!

Our friends took us for the first time to La Locanda degli Artisti and the small authentic Umbrian restaurant really deserves to be called "artistic". Every dish from the bruschetta over the home-made pasta through the pizza to the dessert are prepared with a lot...of attention and detail. I had pasta all Norcina, a freshly made creamy sauce with truffles and salsiccia and it was to die for. Any good pizza lives and dies with its dough. The pizza speciale was great and the dough just the right thickness and crusty. The tiramisu was juicy and delicate at the same time. thumbs up!

Of course we didn't take a pizza, since it isn't a pizzeria but a Locanda with a genuine Italian cook! We took advantage of it and...we were served with fresh ingredients, rich taste and not too big portions. The pasta was really "al dente" and the "sugo" came not in German quantities; I mean, we could still recognise our pasta. I recommend this restaurant if you want some variety in your diet and if you love the genuine Italian kitchen.
