On my last visit to Lochham, I went to Lochhamers to eat and was surprised to find it is now serving Mexican food. I had the combindidas platter appetizer. It came with two wings, ribs, chips, three dips, bread and grilled corn on the cob. A great smaller meal, very tasty. The chips were ok, I am certain they are not made in the restaurant. The restaurant has a large outside beer garden area, inside a more formal dining area and a bar area with many tables. Service was very good. I should tried the margaritas but didn't. I find it hard to give up Bavarian beer. The beer garden is adjacent to the Wurm river, good place to relax with a beer on a sunny day
This is a nice place, in the quiet suburbs of Munich, and once used to be a typical Bavarian pub and beer garden. The new owners have maintained the beer garden and still serve 2 Bavarian dishes, of great quality, but now offer varied Mexican food as well. I must say, that I visited the establishment for the Bavarian food and the beer garden, but my friends/family had the Mexican, and were just as pleased as me. For those in need of a huge chunk of meat, they also offer that, prepared to your taste (rare, medium rare, medium.... and so on). Excellent value for money.
