Gasthäuser in the countryside usually offer traditional Swiss food at fair prices. While visiting the beautiful Emmental region I stopped for lunch at Landgasthof Löwen, which proved a very good choice. I sat in the Heimiswiler Stube cozy and nicely decorated room. Thumbs up to Nadia (one of the three owners) for her smiling, attentive and efficient service Swiss hospitality at its best. As starter I chose the Nüsslisalat (lamb 's lettuce salad) with poached egg and fresh mushrooms. Good seasoning and very tasty.
