The most jovial of the bunch had just gotten a call that her son was acting up in school, and she was appalled that they would bother her with such information. Outstanding! Stopped for lunch and this place seemed to be out of the way in the sticks...I was wrong because when I pulled in the parking lot was packed, the restaurant was packed and I ended up sitting at the bar along with several other single serve patrons. I had the liver and onions which seems to be difficult to find. This was an outstanding offering. I would come here for this or several other items off the menu. It seems this place really knows how to put it out. Service was also exceptional with several servers checking in on me. Go out of your way and stop in for a meal.
We stopped by a little late and this little gem was still fairly busy... we didn't have prompt service and once we received our food our server didn't come back in a timely manner to check on us. Overall we loved the atmosphere, and although I felt the sauce on my Ky Hot Brown was too thick and gummy the sides and seafood was amazing. My Sister ordered the fried oysters which we loved and felt was a fairly generous portion. My son ordered Fish and Shrimp both delicious! We all three agreed we'd go back.*One item we felt was missing from their menu is cornbread.
Disappointed with our to-go order.Steak was ordered medium, we got rare. Had to throw it in the skillet. Ordered country Cole slaw, got the KY hot slaw. If you are a local stop going anywhere else to breakfast. The location is you are prime reason for wanting to come here. The prices are fair the food is good. They have your typical breakfast and a relatively typical menu as well. While nothing wows me this place is reliable, will make you good food, and is simply a good option.
Very nice log cabin ambiance. We came at breakfast time. Definitely get the fried potatoes with whatever you order. Eggs were good. I got the steak n eggs, not fantastic. Steak was grizzly and salty. Biscuits were great, gravy was good if you like pepper! Service was spot on.
I absolutely loved this place. The food was excellent. We ordered an omelet, pancakes, and more, and all I can say is, I will become a regular. Donna provided excellent service, and the food came fast and hot. I cannot give enough compliments to this placeFood: 5/5
Sausage was really thin. Biscuit was a little hard around the edges. Bacon was a little to done for my liking. The eggs, fried potatoes were spot on. Would return again.Food: 4/5
