I am a big fan of short soup and I have been very disappointed at some Chinese restaurants lately. But today I had a bowl of short soup at Lok Lok Dumpling Bar and the wantons were actually very tasty. Maybe it was because they were filled with a blend of chicken and prawn and chives rather than pork which tends to be flavourless in fillings. Anyway I thought they were quite delicious. I was trying to see if there was anything else in the filling as I live in hope of seeing chopped water chestnuts at least. Lok Lok is located right near the cinema in Macquarie Shopping Centre and perfect for a quick lunch as a break from shopping or before or after a movie.I've been here several times and the kids love the steamed pork buns (as do I!). This time it was just Mum and I having a bite to eat before a movie. You order at the counter and get a buzzer which notifies you that your order is ready. There are tables with stools to sit at and self serve sauces, utensils and napkins. Today we had pan fried pork dumplings, prawn and chive dumplings and onion pancakes all of which were fresh and delicious. Service was quick and helpful.
we come here before we catch a movie and normally the service is fast and the dumplings are good. On this occasion the dumplings came out luke warm. they were also not served in the bamboo steam pot and as we were sitting near the...kitchen, i will put money on it that these were reheated in the microwave. Had no time to complain but will give the place a go again and hope it was a once off
Set in a very busy food court at Castle Towers shopping centre this outlet provides a welcome relief from typical fast food. Enjoyed the steamed pork buns thank you.

Nice ,quick service, tasty but just but thought expensive for the amount of dumplings vs cost. could easily have spent $30 $40 on dumplings BTDT

Dropped in for a quick bite and wasn’t disappointed. Pork and prawn dumplings were just the way I like them as was the fried rice.

Food is great and for $20 you'll get more food than you can eat. Can be very busy but service is still fast.
