Lone Star has been one of my favorite places to eat for almost 20 years. I'm a creature of habit - always have the Una Fajita - Can't mess this up.We went to this restaurant prior to going to the airport as it is in close proximity.Service was brutal.I thought they'd forgotten the chips and salsa and therefore I inquired about them was advised that we now have to ask for them and they're $1.00. This won't break us and we should be told up front - Hey you want chips? They're $1.00. It was always one of the best parts of going to the Lone Star.We ordered our food, had to ask for cutlery when the food arrived ... then our server was gone and we needed to ask the hostess for salt and pepper and...
We've been going since the 90's, Lonestar used to be THE spot to come out with a full belly. Good fresh tortillas and chips. Over the years we noticed the food getting way more expensive and they keep changing the fajita menu options and also charging extra for things that used to be free. Now, beef fajitas for 2 is $41 for what can't be more than 1/2lb of meat. We used to fill up on the chips, but now that they are charging extra $1 for them, we've just stopped going because I can't afford to spend well over $60 for a fajita meal for 2 (after taxes, drink, tip), the value is just not there anymore. Better off getting my fajitas from, say, Pancho Villa. On the bright side, it's a lot easier...
I have been at this location several times. I still don't find that it has the energy of the original location. I like that the menu has a great selection and my go to favorite is the Fajita Enchiladas. The service was surprisingly slow. We must have been waiting almost 15 minutes to have a drink order taken. The usual chips and salsa didn't appear until we ordered an appetizer. The most disappointing part is the high price on the children's menu. It would discourage me from choosing this restaurant over others that charge 3.99 for young children. Lone star charged 7.49 and 7.99 for children that were 3 and 4. Please fix the energy and examine your children's menu pricing.
As mentioned by a previous person this is not your standard Lone Star. It is for catered events. We recently attended a wedding at this location and were not disappointed with the scenery. At night they had a fire pit which really brought a nice touch to our visit. The staff were very friendly and always on top of things. Food at the buffet was replenished quickly and tasted delicious. Free wifi was offered as a nice treat. The only thing I would suggest would be to have a better selection of beer. bud, bud light, and corona was all to choose from. No draft beer at all ... Why not bring in some local breweries? Support the community. Réservez une table maintenant
This is Lone Star Ranch, a unique events facility! It is not a regular restaurant. We went to a wedding reception there, and were pleasantly surprised! There is an outdoor covered bandstand with food truck and outdoor reception area. There is a nice fire pit with benches all around. The reception hall could seat hundreds. Lots of outdoor seating. The only knock is on the drink selection: very limited. In beers, one regular beer, one light beer and Corona. That's it. And no draft. But it is a really nice facility.
We stopped at this Lone Star location for lunch before heading to the airport. The menu had great variety, our food came out hot and tasted delicious. All the staff were very welcoming and our server Belle was excellent. I would definitely return to this location in the future.
In my opinion and without prejudice ...This is a great place with good food, amazing menu selection and even things for vegetarians believe it or not. Service was good and attentive. My only complaint is that the tortilla chips and salsa that used to be free now costs a dollar.
