Never has a bagel place been run more inefficiently. Too bad Jon Taffer isn’t available for a Bagel Rescue because this is the place that needs it most. This store is the epitome of inefficiency. They have no concept of how to move a line and often have 8 10 people behind the counter with two to three of them standing around, avoiding eye contact, and doing nothing while a line of customers extends around the entire store. One person stands and aimlessly wipes the counter by the coffee which is already clean and doesn’t offer to take or make an order or to ring someone up. The owner of this store should seriously take some tips from every other NY bagel place and learn how to use staff his staff and fill orders. Even on days when the place is empty, the wait is ridiculous. Moreover, they charge $10 for a mediocre bacon egg and cheese sandwich but can’t manage to ensure the bacon isn’t half raw and they charge $1 extra to toast a muffin but instead take the lazy way out and microwave it. Go somewhere else what a joke
Always super packed. Not that it's a bad thing. They could use a better system of organization. If you're there for a pickup that you called in, who knows where you're supposed to go to get it. If you're there for uber eats or door dash or one of those, it's a very disorganized process. You might be standing there 30 mins before you get acknowledged or before they shout out the names of those orders. Otherwise, I love their food. Your easiest bet is to go during our hours or have food delivered.
