We stayed in Rochester at an AIR BNB for the weekend and decided on the way home to stop at a local place for breakfast so we chose Long Pond as their menu seemed very big with lots of delicious choices. We arrived just before 9 a,m. on a Sunday and it was us and 2 other tables so we were seated and waited on right away. We ordered drinks and then looked over the menu we had a hard time deciding as there were so many breakfast choices....my sister in law had the pecan pancakes, I had a breakfast special, my brother in law a western omlette and my husband the gyro breakfast. All the plates were full when they came alot of food and everything we ordered was very tasty and filling. The waitress...
The food was good. I had the Cuban with a side salad and a bowl of French Onion Soup. I really don't have any major complaints other than nothing was amazing? The Cuban was definitely not a real Cuban. It was on toasted white bread and I am pretty sure they used honey mustard instead of a Dijon or spicy brown so it was more of a Cuban-adjacent sandwich but it tasted fine and the soup was really good. The servers were efficient if not overly friendly, but not rude either. It was a pretty innocuous experience really. If I am in town again, I would probably go back.
Very disappointed with our latest visit, in the past we had had good experiences. The food was very small portions. For example the $6.50 kids meal was 1 chicken tender cut in half and a handful of fries. The staff was not friendly and when asking for clarification on the bill and sharing our negative experience the owner came storming out of the kitchen to yell at us and told us to “enjoy going to Hilton diner then”.
*Dropping to 1 star due to rude owner. Now I know why the server is rude.. way to care about the customer. Thank God you can cook.Long wait, food was just okay, service was terrible. We've been here several times in the past, its always been better than this. The past few visits, same server, have not been enjoyable. Very unfortunate. Will have to find a different local restaurant to frequent.

Probably one of the best diners I've ever been to. Was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend and I had mozzarella sticks and mac and cheese bites as an app (delicious). Then, they were running an eat-in promotion of free clam chowder (red or white) with every meal. Then we both had the shaved steak dinner (delicious).Would absolutely go back in the future.
We've always liked this place. Nice atmosphere and food choices for breakfast. It is usually bustling which is a good problem for them but would be nice if it was quieter at times. Bring cash or pay 3.9% fee.
I bought a gift card for a family member for Christmas 2022, only to find out that you are now closed. How can I get a refund? This is not a good way to manage a long-respected establishment.
Bills Long Pond Diner is a great restaurant. It has great food, especially great breakfast specials, it comes with coffee.
