L'Opale Restaurant

We visited this place during our stay in Provence this year. The place looks stunning and it is well taken care of. The downside is that there are a lot of mosquitoes, so be aware and have a reppeler spray with you. Now about the food. We had the octopus and the langoustine for starters. All food was just slightly warm, barely warm, if you want. The food was only ok, compared to the incredible cuisine we’ve had here, they did not stand out at all. My husband had the pluma, which was good. I had the cod and it was very bland, also covered by something i really did not like. We went here on a rainy night so were unable to sit on the terrace, which apparently has lovely views of the alpilles. The inside room, however, is very pleasant with well spaced tables anda calm atmosphere. The staff seemed a little undertrained it took 4 referrals until someone was able to advise us on the wine but they were all young, friendly and enthusiastic especially a lovely young Ugandan lass who was just over from England and therefore spoke perfect English. Good restaurant in a beautiful location. Also the food was very very good. The price and quality are certainly in order, but it is a pity that the price indication on Tripadvisor is €€ €€€. In our opinion, that is more €€€ €€€€, because we spent more than the indication of 18 60 euros. If we're in the area, we'll definitely be back.

Location to die for with service to match! The outdoor seating provides the most amazing views of the Alpilles. Food was absolutely off the scale good and certainly Michelin standard…hint hint. We also dined at Maisie Hache which has a Michelin star and the food at L’Opale is as good. Thank you. We will be back

Absolutely amazing starters and entrees. An unbelievable wine list (with so many local choices). The outdoor seating is just gorgeous. The staff couldn't have been better.
