The food and drinks were good. BUT We came on our wedding anniversary from out of town. We mentioned it was our anniversary when making the reservation, when we arrived to the hostess, and to our waiter. We were very dressed up in fancy special occasion clothes. We were sat at the worst table (by the kitchen door and the bar, I had waiters knocking into my chair all night). No one congratulated us on our anniversary (even when we directly mentioned it), and we didn't get a congratulations note on the two desserts we ordered and paid for, no complimentary sparking wine, no complimentary desserts, no sort of acknowledgement whatsoever. The food and mixed cocktails were good, but I would not go...
I recently went to this place for a friends birthday dinner. The atmosphere was very eccentric and different but overall very cool. There have only been a handful of times where I have went a restaurant and my taste buds were smacked with so much delicious flavor and this was one of the moments. I ordered the Filet Mignon Beef “Swellington” for my entree and the Oregon Hill Alley Apple Pie for dessert. The Filet Mignon melts in your mouth and tastes very good when paired with the veggies. It’s been a couples of days and I’m still thinking about this entree lol. Definitely would recommend this restaurant for sure.
we brought our family of 6 and had a really wonderful experience. the food was delicious! I especially enjoyed the black bells, but also all the others shaved over their dishes. the waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and the food made gluten-free for our family. I gave the ambiente only a 4-star rating because it was a bit dark for my taste. l’opossum is a fantastic culinary experience. make sure her pocketbook is full!
