Nous avons séjourné au Logis juste en face de ce restaurant. Après avoir lu le menu au Logis et le coût des repas, nous sommes allés prendre un verre au bar de L'Orée d'Orient pour récupérer ! Le barman était un personnage. Il s'est avéré qu'il était aussi le chef (ou cuisinier comme il nous l'a informé). Nous sommes retournés plus tard et avons mangé là-bas. Nous savons qu'il était tard dans la saison et que nous étions les seuls clients du restaurant, mais notre hôte nous a préparé un excellent repas d'une taille qui ne laissait pas de place pour un dessert. Il était attentionné, poli et amusant. Je ne suis pas sûr de ce à quoi les autres clients s'attendaient, mais même s'il est peu proba...
We stayed in the Logis just across the road from this restaurant. Having read the menu at the Logis and the cost of meals, we went for a drink in the bar in the L'Oree d'Orient to recover! The barman was a character. It turned out he was also the chef (or cooker as he informed us.) We went back later and ate there. We know it was late in the season and we were the only diners in the restaurant, but our host produced a superb meal of a size which negated any space for a dessert. He was attentive, polite and amusing. Not sure what other guests have expected, but whilst it is unlikely we shall pass through here again, if we ever do, I would certainly eat there again. This place is a fantastic spot. The fresh water lake is so vast it has its own tide. Clear blue water and lovely sand. Lots of boats to hire at a reasonable price. You can park your car or motorhome on the road right next to the beach. I had been to St-Tropes the day before and was disappointed with the beach and the absolute disapproval of motorhomes in the area. NO PARKING FOR MOTORHOMES!. I stayed at L'Oréal d'Orient camping ground with my motorhome but spent all my time at the lake. I will be back here for a 2 or 3 week stay next year. Worth the trip.
Had lunch in here big mistake barman was surly and food was pretty awful. Kids cheeseburgers were no better than cat food plus they burnt the burger buns but still served them. Potatoes on the salade champagne were uncooked. Should have read the reviews and steered clear.

We hired bikes for a cycle trip around the lake from the hotel and came back to spend a pleasant evening meal on the verandah with the setting sun. Good cuisine a touch minimilist but the flavours were excellent and for 16 euros I thought quite good value.
Un autre week-end, un autre endroit de dim sum. Cet endroit venait de déménager d'un endroit voisin, alors nous avons décidé de le vérifier un dimanche matin.
Enfin un endroit qui brille par la présentation et le goût de tous ses articles (ou du moins de ceux que nous avons commandés).
Le restaurant est extrêmement cher et certains plats n'étaient même pas meilleurs que des dim sum surgelés. Je passe mon tour.
