Had a fantastic experience here while visiting family on Saturday night. We were happy to take our thirteen year old daughter to a nice restaurant in Old Montreal. Unfortunately, some other restaurants only have bar licenses and don’t allow anyone under eighteen at night. We loved the atmosphere, the friendly service and the uniquely delicious food. The appetizers, entrees, desserts and cocktails were perfect. The caesars were the best we’ve had. The lamb shank special with barley risotto and braised beef pappardelle were great too. Can’t wait to return on our next trip.
The food at L'Original was delicious veal with mushrooms, halibut and tagatelle pasta were all tremendous. The restaurant itself is a bit smalll, which may have led to our issue of being seated 25 minutes later than our reservation. The service was very slow not sure if they were understaffed or not. We got very hungry by the time our food came. Would have loved some bread or crackers to hold us over...
Absolutely amazing start to finish! The ambiance is so cozy and comforting, music is awesome, service is top notch. You feel like you’re home. And the food…wow…highly recommend the bone marrow, the bison burger, the fish of the day (was halibut for us and flawless), and the chocolate mousse dessert. A million times wow we’ll be back for sure!
A group of 5 of us enjoyed a wonderful birthday celebration. The food was outstanding. The service was impeccable. We will definitely be visiting this place again. Thank you to Mike and his staff for being so warm and inviting.

Really great food! Pork schnitzel was wonderful as were the lobster salad and shrimp tacos that were specials. So Good!! We came back later for dessert and both of those were wonderful too! Super place!
