Stopped by today around 2pm with my son and wife. The place was empty except for one person sitting in the bar. The food was overall decent. Upon paying I realized that they had taken upon themselves and added a 15% “small group fee”. Once I confronted our server, her excuse was that their system automatically adds it and she just forgot to take it off, she than asked me if I wanted that money back since she had already ran my card, which I told her “yes”. I’m all for tipping our servers especially if they take care of you and your guest but don’t be sneaky or shady about adding your own tip on our bills. I ended up not tipping her at all because of how she went about it. Will definitely not...
10/10 ?️ Ordered from this restaurant using DoorDash. I had the Mojarra Fritta which is a lovely whole fried fish dish with rice, salad, and delicious refried beans. Drizzled with line the fish was tender and well seasoned. I accompanied that with a chicharron pupusa which was also delicious and fresh the cabbage and red sauce was perfect. I enjoyed the empanada de Planto yummy plantain with cinnamon and sugar crust filled with a condensed milk.
It was good for a change. The food is bland but it came out hot. No jalapenos. The food should probably have a 3, one thing they should not do is bring a pretty good size of cabbage salad in a reusable container, they could (I didn't say they did) serve to someone else. I was very leary eating it because of that. I think for health reasons and cleanliness they should just bring a little dish to the side.
The atmosphere towards the back was very quiet, and it would have been nice to have some background music or TV sounds. The pupusas were disappointing, and my son's fried rice was undercooked. However, the platanos con frijoles were quite good. On a positive note, the drink service was excellent.

The food was terrible and bland. The chicken, which I ordered as pollo de la creme, was sliced like fajitas and lacked any flavor. The rice was overcooked and watery. I was extremely disappointed! The customer service was also lacking.
The cheese dip I paid over $7. For a half bowl which I asked her can she not at least make it to the top like the guacamole dip and she said. It's not worth $20. Just for appetizer that barely covers the bottom of the bowl.
Really looking for that Authentic South of the Border fair?This place is The Real Deal! The Papusa 's are awesome and so is everything else. Looking forward to my next trip.
I took my friend to this restaurant and she and me just loved the food, the service is great and the atmosphere make you feel at home. Will highly recommended for everyone.

This is a fantastic spot, one of the hidden gems for Latin cuisine in Forest Park. The food is excellent and reasonably priced for a dining-out experience.
Food was fresh and good. We had soooo much food and it was all tasty. I can’t wait to go back.
